Top 5 Snowboarding Spots for Beginners

Okay boys and girls, here’s the top 5 resorts in the U.S. for beginner riders. I’ll give you a quick rundown, but make sure to visit each resorts website to find out why a novice like your self should check these places out.

  1. Northstar-at-Tahoe, CA
One of the smoothest resorts in the region for first-timers and beginners because of its gentle terrain. The runs are fairly flat, which keeps the experts away and excessive speeds down.

  2. Solitude, UT
A Link Chair, slow moving lifts and a nearly flat run called Easy Street make Solitude a great spot for beginner snowboarders.

  3. Durango Mountain Resort, CO
An isolated riding areas for beginners makes Durango an ideal spot for newbie’s.

  4. Bretton Woods, NH
Some of the longest beginner runs anywhere makes this spot great for trying out your new tricks and showing off some newly learned skills.

  5. Bromley, VT
Two lifts for the beginner area and a closed-in section for first-timers is what makes Bromley appealing to the novice snowboarder.

Winter is here!

It's finally starting to snow in WI and it's about time. As I was driving up north to go hunting in November, I was a little worried when I noticed the ski hills were green. We've only gotten a couple of inches to date, but more is on the way this weekend. Nothing betting then fresh powder.
